Reduce the risk of infection
It’s what you DON’T see on a reusable washed bedpan that  is the issue. Bacteria such as MRSA and Clostridium Difficile can still remain viable on the bedpan after being washed in a washer. This increases the risk of patients contracting a hospital acquired infection.

Giving a potentially infected bedpan to an unsuspecting patient can create an infection cycle that could compromise the health or life of your patients and the hospital resources and integrity.

“Between 5% and 10% of patients admitted to hospital acquire an infection during their admission.”1

By using a SaniWaste single use disposable bedpan system the infection cycle is broken and the risk of HAI’s being transferred via bedpans is eliminated.

Saniwaste
The Saniwaste™ System is for use in hospitals and other healthcare facilities and provides for the safe and environmentally-friendly disposal of a range of specially designed disposable bedpans and consumables.

Bed pan
Bed pans have traditionally been manufactured from plastic. This requires the pan to be emptied and washed by hospital staff prior to re-use.

Disposable bed pan
The Saniwaste™ disposable bed pan reduces the risk of hospital-acquired infections, saves time and energy and is better for the environment.

Bed pan disposal
Bed pan disposal is achieved through the use of a bed pan disposal unit (macerator). Bed pan disposal using the SaniWaste™ System is environmentally friendly, clean and efficient.

Disposable pulp receptacle
The disposable pulp receptacle by SaniWaste™ helps maintain a cleaner, healthier environment in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Disposal is easy – simply place the used disposable pulp receptacle into the SaniWaste™ macerator. The disposable pulp receptacle also saves on storage space.

Hospital acquired infection

One of the leading causes of hospital acquired infection is the inability to support and manage the disposal of human waste. SaniWaste™ has addressed the issue of hospital acquired infection with its range of disposable bed pans.
  Pulp bed pan
The pulp bed pan is very easily broken down by the SaniWaste™ macerator. By using a pulp bed pan, the risk of obtaining a hospital acquired infection is significantly reduced. The use of a pulp bed pan also conserves storage space requirements.

Pulp urine bottle
The pulp urine bottle is very easily broken down by the SaniWaste™ macerator. By using a pulp urine bottle, the risk of obtaining a hospital acquired infection is significantly reduced.

Sanitary waste disposal
Hygienic, sanitary waste disposal is an important consideration when looking for the best sanitary waste disposal system for your facility. The SaniWaste™ sanitary waste disposal system is an environmentally-friendly option to conventional sanitary waste disposal. The SaniWaste™ System is compact, saves time, requires little space and greatly reduces the risk of hospital acquired infection.

Urine bottle
A urine bottle made from paper pulp is the perfect disposable solution for maintaining a cleaner facility environment. The SaniWaste™ urine bottle is disposed of by placing the used urine bottle into the macerator. The ensuing pulp is then flushed into the sewerage system. Disposable urine bottles aid in reducing the risk of hospital acquired infection.
